Birdsboro 5K and One Mile Fun Run on April 21 benefits mission trip

Runners of all ages bring your family, friends and co-workers to enjoy food, fun and top finisher awards. St. Paul’s UCC in Birdsboro is hosting a 5K and a one-mile Fun Run on Earth Day April 21 to correspond with Beautify Birdsboro’s service projects.

The event will help to raise funds to support Mission Trip Birdsboro and St. Paul’s UCC. The Mission Trip Birdsboro program is a community help program conceived by St. Paul’s UCC, Birdsboro, where volunteers assists locals who are struggling due to age, financial stress, disabilities or other factors and need help with repairs or maintenance at their homes.

The Mission: Birdsboro 5K & one-mile Fun Run (or walk) is great for both runners and non-runners. The Union Masonic Lodge will be hosting an all you can eat breakfast from 7-11 a.m. for $8. All runners get a $3 meal discount. Community and non-runner activities will be offered by St. Paul’s. Enjoy carnival games and prizes; get creative with crafts, including rock painting; and let the kids blow off steam in the bouncy house.

For those who are runners there will be metals for the top 5K finishers in Overall Male & Female champions. Plus awards for the top three Male and three Female finishers in each of the following age brackets: 14 and Under, 15-19 years, 20-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70+ years. The One-Mile Fun Run/Walk: Participants will receive finisher ribbons.


Registration for the 5K costs $30, for both the 1-mile and 5K the cost is $45 and for the 1-mile only it is $15. For race maps, details and registration forms go to or registration can be completed online at

The start/finish will be at St. Paul’s UCC, 300 W 1st Street, Birdsboro. Race day registration begins at 8 a.m. Start time for the 1-mile Fun Run is 8:30 a.m. and the 5K begins at 9 a.m. Awards for the 5K will be presented at 10 a.m. This is an opportunity to have good fun while supporting a good cause.
