Boy Scout Troop 140 proudly recognized four recent Eagle Scouts at a Court of Honor in August at St. Peter’s UCC Church in Knauertown. Families, friend, scouts and dignitaries were in attendance to honor these scouts, who have achieved the highest rank in scouting.

Ayden Brock, an OJR graduate, built new picnic tables and refurbished old ones for the Rough and Tumble Historical Society in Kinzers, PA. The picnic tables are in the dining hall at Rough and Tumble and provide comfortable seating for those people visiting or working and dining at the Society.

Daniel Gerhart, 2017 OJR graduate, put together and installed playground equipment at Coventryville Methodist Church. He also had to complete some groundwork around the area which included regrading. The playground will be enjoyed by the children attending the church and will hopefully be in use for many years.

Kyle Surette, a 2017 OJR graduate, created an emergency shelter at Pughtown Baptist Church for his township. It included putting together emergency kits and supplies and organizing and storing them at the church. He also worked with the church to create and area to shelter families in need in the case of some type of disaster.

Owen Gift, a 2017 OJR Graduate, built display cases for his church to display historical documents and items and a parament (vestment) storage cabinet so that the items can be stored neatly and safely. Church members will now be able to view the different historical documents and photos related to the church easily and it will keep them protected.
